There are various parameters through, which you can detect which Identify Your Model. you are using currently. Although we can differentiate the devices, internally as well as externally. Identify Your Model through Port and Connectors

(1st generation) – It contains power port, HDMI port, component video port, Ethernet port, optical digital audio port, analog audio port & USB 2.0.

Identify Your Model(2nd generation) & (3rd generation) –

The only difference between (2nd generation) & (3rd generation) is that the of 3rd generation has more pixels for HDMI. Besides this, both models of have the power port, Ethernet port, optical digital audio, HDMI port & Micro-USB. Also, both models of have same networking capabilities i.e., WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n) & 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and IR receiver.

(4th generation) – These models contain the least amount of external ports & connectors. In these models, there are 4 ports for power supply, HDMI 1.4 (720p and 1080p), Ethernet and USB-C connection. It also offers 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with MIMO) & IR receiver.

4K – These models have only three ports i.e., HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi (802.11ac with MIMO), Bluetooth 5.0 & IR receiver.
